Calculators King is a reference site. Read this page before you use a result in a decision about health, money, school standing, or a legal deadline. The short version is that a correct formula with your inputs is still not a personal professional opinion.
Medical and body pages estimate. BMI categories are a screening shorthand. They do not diagnose. Basal metabolic equations disagree with each other by enough to matter at the edges, which is why the BMR page shows two of them. A calorie target built from a TDEE and a weekly loss rate uses a rough energy equivalent and can be unsafe if it is pushed hard. Pregnancy dates from a last menstrual period assume a standard cycle the page cannot verify. Ovulation estimates assume a luteal length you can edit and still should not treat as contraception or as a fertility treatment. Mean arterial pressure is arithmetic on two blood pressure numbers, not a diagnosis.
Insulin arithmetic on this site multiplies and divides ratios you supply. It does not know your insulin sensitivity, your meal, your monitor's accuracy, or whether the figure is for a child. Do not use it to create a ratio. Pet dosing converts a prescribed milligram-per-kilogram instruction into millilitres at a stated concentration. It is not a Banfield protocol and not a suggestion of which drug to give. A PEth band on the page is a commonly cited research cut-point, and laboratories do not all use the same cut-point. It is not a legal finding about drinking.
A blood alcohol estimate uses the Widmark form with a body factor and a clearance rate you can see. It is not a breath or blood test. It is not a defence and not permission to drive. If you have been drinking, do not drive.
Money pages estimate too. A mortgage payment ignores offers, fees a specific lender charges beyond the fields you filled, and your credit. A loan page's extra-payment saving is arithmetic on the rate you typed. Tax and VAT pages apply a rate you choose. They do not file a return. Pro rata pay depends on whether the contract counts working days or calendar days. Teacher pay on this site combines base, stipends, and full-time equivalent. A real contract can include steps and lanes this form does not pretend to know. NHS maternity pay is modelled from publicly described statutory maternity pay and a common Agenda for Change pattern. Trust policies, eligibility, and the statutory flat rate change. The flat rate field is editable for that reason. The WASPI page illustrates a gap between two ages and a weekly amount you type. It is not an award letter.
School pages do not speak for a registrar. A GPA on a 4-point map can differ from a local scale. A square-root curve is one grading practice among many. A final-exam target assumes the weights you typed are the weights the syllabus uses.
Game and trade pages are transparent models. Fantasy, dynasty, and IDP weights are teaching weights printed in the steps, not a stolen ranking from a paywalled service. Wordle statistics describe the guesses you enter. They do not solve the puzzle and are not affiliated with the game. Blooket points follow a classroom model you can edit, because the live game changes rewards.
If a result surprises you, trust the surprise long enough to check the inputs and the named formula. Then ask the person who is actually accountable: a clinician, a veterinarian, an adviser, a payroll office, a lender, or a teacher. This disclaimer is dated 21-10-2026 and should be read with the terms of use and the privacy policy.
Charts and statistical tests can be wrong in a quieter way. A histogram with too few bins hides a second cluster. A p-value below 0.05 does not measure how large the effect is or whether the sample was fair. A confidence interval is a range from a method, not a promise that the true value prefers that range with the stated probability after the data are already in hand. Those limits are repeated on the relevant pages because they are the mistakes that survive even when the arithmetic is perfect.
Game pages and the destiny matrix are entertainment or classroom models. A fairness ratio on a fantasy trade uses weights we print. It is not a verdict from a league commissioner. A destiny number is a digit reduction mapped to arcana names. It is not evidence about a person's future. If a page is fun, it is allowed to be fun, and it is not allowed to dress that fun as a measurement of the world.
Questions people ask next
01Is a BMI result a diagnosis?
No. It is a screening ratio. It does not see muscle, pregnancy, or clinical context. Read it with the bands on the page and talk to a clinician for a personal judgement.
02Can the insulin page set my ratio?
No. It only divides and multiplies ratios you already have from a prescriber. Inventing a ratio from weight is outside what the page will do.
03Is the WASPI figure an official award?
No. It multiplies a weekly amount you type by a gap between two ages you type, and it says there is no single official tariff behind that product.
04Is a BAC estimate a legal test?
No. It is a Widmark model. It is not a breath test and not permission to drive.
05Who checks the arithmetic?
Worked examples are anchored to known values such as a mean of 10.6 for 12, 7, 9, 15, and 10, and a 95 percent z critical value near 1.96. The disclaimer does not replace that check. It limits what the check means.
